Simple Splinting for Small Animal Broken Legs
At Coldfinger3D, we develop solutions for problems that large companies ignore. Wildlife rescuers and animal shelters often face the problem that there are hardly any suitable aids for treating small animals – especially for broken bones.
Our 3D-printed clip splint was specially developed for broken legs of small animals such as squirrels, birds, or hedgehogs.
How it works:
- Both halves of the splint are identical and interchangeable
- Pad the injured leg with some bandage or foam
- Place the second half rotated by 180° and snap it into place
- After healing: Simply break off the tabs – the splint can be removed without leaving any residue, completely without tools
